Nuclear Submarines to Strike Russia? No. Trump Is Still Playing You.
Let’s stop believing everything we read: Trump is feeding on our fear.
Have you ever heard human beings described as “rational animals”?
Well, the truth is far less flattering. At best, we are animals capable of reason—a faculty that rarely surfaces, and only in fleeting moments.
Most of the time, we’re governed by instinct.
By our moods, our primal urges.
And above all, we live under the shadow of fear.
An ancient, powerful force designed to keep us away from danger.
An emotional sentinel that drives every living creature toward survival.
Donald Trump knows this.
And he builds his power on it.
He’s not the only one, of course. In this dark saga involving nuclear submarines, the other main actor—former President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev—plays the same exact game.
If you haven’t been following, Medvedev is one of those grim, menacing figures who, since the early days of the Ukraine invasion, has made a habit of threatening the West with nuclear apocalypse.
Every single day.
He reminds us that Russia is a nuclear power.
And every day, he hints at how much he’d love to see London, New York, or Berlin reduced to ashes.
Trump and Medvedev aren’t just political leaders.
They’re manipulators of the collective psyche.
They know exactly which buttons to push to make us feel insecure, vulnerable, afraid.
They get us to consider things we’d never entertain under normal circumstances.
Exploiting fear and the visceral emotions it brings to the surface—is one of the dirtiest tactics there is.
It’s used by sleazy salesmen. Hucksters.
And sadly, by politicians willing to say or do anything to win your vote.
But are we really sure that Trump has deployed nuclear submarines aimed at Russia?
How many times have we fallen for his web of lies, manipulations, and propaganda in the past?
Let’s Debunk This Submarine Nonsense.
Let’s start right here:
this so-called story about “deployed” nuclear submarines.
We’ll quickly recap the facts — then we’ll get to what actually matters.
Once again, Medvedev threatened the West by reminding the world that Russia possesses nuclear weapons.
Trump fired back on Truth Social, claiming he had “deployed two nuclear submarines” in case the Russian wasn’t just bluffing.
A clear message: the U.S. would be ready to meet fire with fire.
…the level of public discourse is in the gutter.
How pathetic.
If you even vaguely know what a submarine is, how it works, and what its strategic purpose is, you’ll immediately see how absurd this entire narrative is.
And if you don’t know—don’t worry. Simone, yours truly, will explain.
Nuclear-powered submarines, armed with atomic warheads, are underwater vessels that can remain submerged for weeks at a time.
Their main operational limitation? Food.
Specifically, fresh food — which runs low after a while.
But the true purpose of these silent giants is something else entirely:
to remain invisible.
Unlike ships and aircraft, which can be located fairly easily, nuclear submarines are built to never be found.
Every element of their design is focused on ensuring stealth, silence, and concealment.
Why all the secrecy?
Because nuclear submarines exist for one strategic mission: to guarantee retaliation in the event of a nuclear attack.
A nuclear strike today can be carried out in three main ways:
Land-Based Silos
Fixed installations that house ballistic missiles.
Since they’re visible by satellite, it’s likely the enemy knows exactly where to hit in order to disable your ability to respond.
Aircraft
Like in 1945, when bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
But today, this method is outdated — aircraft are too slow and too easily intercepted compared to ballistic missiles.
Nuclear Submarines
These are the enemy’s worst nightmare.
Because you don’t know where they are. You don’t know when they’ll strike.
And if you’re the United States, you’ve got around ten of them patrolling the world’s oceans at all times — silently, and lethally.
Here’s the key point:
Anyone launching a first strike knows they must immediately destroy the enemy’s ability to retaliate.
But submarines — precisely because they’re invisible — slip through that calculation.
They are the assurance that even in a surprise attack, there will always be a response.
A guaranteed, inescapable nuclear counterstrike.
That’s why they exist.
And that’s why no one on Earth should ever know exactly where they are.
So, now do you see why it’s ridiculous — actually, grotesque — for a president to go online and announce he’s “deployed a submarine”? 😂
First: the strategic effectiveness of submarines depends on secrecy.
Announcing their “deployment” defeats their entire purpose.
Second: nuclear submarines are always deployed.
Every single day.
There is no “moment” they get activated. They’re constantly active by design.
There are different alert levels, of course.
But true nuclear deterrence is built on one fundamental principle:
Both sides are always in each other’s crosshairs.
Just like two cowboys with guns pointed at one another — neutralized by mutual threat.
More Examples of the Manipulation We Endure:
What we’ve just examined is a textbook case.
Anyone with even a basic understanding of politics, military strategy, or geopolitics knows full well that nuclear submarines aren’t “deployed” via a social media post.
And yet, situations like this happen again and again.
What’s worse: they poison public discourse, degrade the quality of debate, and — if I may say so — undermine the very health of our democracy.
Think of Colin Powell’s infamous test tube at the UN — a carefully staged performance to justify a war.
Only later did we learn that the entire scene was theater. A global lie.
Think of the obsessive narrative about Russian bots on Twitter, accused of influencing the 2016 election in Trump’s favor.
Flimsy claims, poorly substantiated — yet amplified until they became media gospel.
We are bombarded with lies on a daily basis.
Lies crafted to exploit our most primal emotions: fear, anger, a sense of injustice.
Today, we’ve debunked yet another foolish statement made by Trump on Truth Social.
But beware: this kind of communication isn’t exclusive to the Republicans.
Everyone, from left to right, uses the same tactics.
They speak to the gut, never to the mind.
They appeal to instinct, never to reason.
Want more examples?
Here’s one:
“Israeli soldiers fire into a crowd waiting for aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.”
And then?
No images. No video.
Just sensationalist headlines and ideologically loaded narratives. The source? “Gaza’s Health Ministry” — which, to be clear, essentially means Hamas…
The News Is Just Lies and Propaganda

I don’t blame anyone who believes these stories.
Propaganda has always existed.
Think of what was said about the Jews in the last century.
Think of what’s said today about Muslims.
Still — though I don’t judge — I can’t help but feel bitter.
Our democracy is fragile.
Mainstream media is becoming increasingly unreliable.
And we all know it.
But there is hope:
independent journalism, free voices, alternative platforms — like this one — are gaining ground.
And they won’t stay on the margins forever.
More and more people are waking up to the fact that:
“Official” journalism is now in the hands of economic and political powers
Politicians don’t say what’s true, they say what wins them votes
Why Does Trump Talk About Submarines, Knowing It’s a Lie?
Let’s return to the original point.
If you’ve been reading my articles, you already know what I think:
Neither the United States nor Europe has a real interest in ending the war in Ukraine quickly.
That conflict is a geopolitical laboratory.
An opportunity to observe the enemy, test strategies, and weaken Russia without getting their hands dirty.
But in the U.S., voters — especially the MAGA base — want this war to end.
They demand less military spending, more protectionism, and more focus on domestic issues.
Trump knows this.
So what does he do?
Picks a public fight with Zelensky at the White House
Signs an “agreement” with the Ukrainians
Calls Putin on the phone
And finally threatens Moscow with “submarines”
It’s all theater — a performance designed to show voters he’s trying to stop the war.
When in fact, he’s doing the opposite. (and fortunately so — thankfully, he’s acting in the interest of the free world and the Ukrainian people)
But do you think any of these gestures have brought peace?
The only way to actually stop the war would be to cut off aid to Ukraine, letting Russia finish the job.
Yes, it’s a cynical position.
But it’s the only one that’s logically consistent with someone — like Trump — who claims the war could be ended in a single day.
Instead, the aid continues.
Weapons are still flowing. (thankfully)
And Trump, like Biden before him, feeds the war while pretending to want peace.
A brutal but necessary lesson:
Election campaigns are not moments of truth — they are stages for deception.
Remember? “The war will be over in 24 hours.” His words.
Let me leave you with a sincere invitation:
Never turn off your critical thinking.
Doubt — even your deepest beliefs.
Yes, it’s painful. It takes humility.
But it’s the only antidote we have in this jungle of lies, and against the parasites that thrive on our emotional vulnerabilities.
Be good.
Tell me in the comments what you think.
And if you know someone who’s afraid of “Trump’s submarines”...
Per aspera ad astra.
